CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Uttar Pradesh: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has launched a sharp attack on the Election Commission of India (ECI), accusing it of hatching a new conspiracy for “Chunav Chori” (election theft) amid the revision of the voter list in Bihar. In a strong statement, Rahul alleged that the ECI is intentionally manipulating electoral rolls to benefit the ruling party, thereby undermining democratic values and fair electoral practices.

He claimed that large-scale irregularities in the voter list revision process are disenfranchising genuine voters while creating space for bogus entries. The Congress leader demanded immediate corrective action and transparency in the electoral revision process. His remarks have stirred a political storm, especially as Bihar prepares for key upcoming elections.

The ECI, however, has not responded to the accusations yet. Meanwhile, the opposition has rallied behind Rahul Gandhi, echoing concerns over the alleged dilution of democratic safeguards. The incident has intensified the debate on electoral integrity, voter rights, and institutional accountability.

With this fresh allegation, Rahul Gandhi aims to highlight what he sees as systemic erosion of democracy, making electoral reforms a central issue in the national political discourse.
