During the visit, he closely reviewed the progress of the world-class redevelopment works underway at the station and issued necessary directions to officials. The station is being redeveloped at a cost of Rs 300 crore.
During the inspection, the Rail Minister, as always, displayed grounded leadership by interacting directly with passengers present at the station. He held detailed discussions with them about railway services, their experiences, and the difficulties they face during travel.
The most emotional and memorable moment of the visit came when the Rail Minister spoke with construction workers engaged day and night in the station’s redevelopment work. During the interaction, worker Dashrath Kumar and his colleagues expressed their strong desire to travel on the country’s modern Amrit Bharat Express.
On hearing this simple and heartfelt wish of the workers, the Rail Minister showed sensitivity and promptness. Without wasting a moment, he instructed officials on the spot and fulfilled Dashrath Kumar’s wish by arranging a confirmed ticket for him on the New Delhi-Patna Amrit Bharat Express.
As soon as the ticket came into his hands, Dashrath Kumar and his colleagues were overjoyed. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Rail Minister for his kind gesture.
