CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Indian Railways celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) at the Vichar (Conference Hall) in Rail Bhavan, New Delhi. The event honored the achievements of women and reaffirmed the commitment to gender equality, with approximately 300 female officers participating.

Railway Board Member (Finance), Rupa Srinivasan, presided over the event as the chief guest, while the Secretary of the Railway Board also graced the occasion. The celebration featured various engaging activities, including a theatrical play, health discussion, yoga demonstration, dance and music performances, quiz, and Antakshari.

Recognizing excellence in various fields, merit certificates and cash prizes were awarded to winners of essay and art competitions, along with Best Sportswoman and Best Cultural Artist awards.

As part of the International Women’s Day celebrations, a special health check-up camp was organized for female employees of the Railway Board Office in collaboration with Northern Railway Central Hospital. A total of 167 women employees availed themselves of the health screening facilities.
