CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Railway Board Member (Infrastructure) Naveen Gulati conducted a technical inspection of the Rani Kamalapati–Budhni rail section under Bhopal Division. The inspection was entirely safety-focused, with a detailed review of track strength, tunnel and bridge structures, gradients, curves, ballast depth, drainage systems, and other sensitive locations.

During the inspection, he discussed various aspects of track engineering with officials and closely observed track geometry, welding quality, and the condition of sleepers. Mr. Gulati instructed the concerned engineers to give top priority to safety and durability in view of the increasing traffic on this important rail section.

Subsequently, he visited the Area Training Centre in Bhopal and reviewed the arrangements of smart classrooms, technical laboratories, and field training. He suggested greater integration of hands-on techniques, real-time track inspection, and digital learning platforms in the training process.

As part of the inspection, Mr. Gulati also reviewed the operational arrangements, panel room, yard system, and safety standards at Rani Kamalapati Railway Station. Later, a review meeting was held at the Divisional Railway Manager’s Office, Bhopal, where detailed discussions took place on the points identified during the inspection.

At the conclusion of the inspection, Mr. Gulati stated that “the strength of railway infrastructure is the foundation of safe and seamless operations.” He further directed that, considering the geographical complexities of West Central Railway, regular technical reviews and high-quality maintenance must be ensured.
