CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A meeting with freight loading vendors and customers was held at the Bhopal Division Railway Manager’s office under the chairmanship of Divisional Railway Manager Pankaj Tyagi. The main objective of the meeting was to promote freight loading and discuss measures to increase railway revenue.

Representatives from ITC, Food Corporation of India, Madhya Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation, Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company, Mandideep Container Corporation, and others attended the meeting. Through a PowerPoint presentation, data from the previous year and the current year were discussed to analyze trends and opportunities in commercial transportation.

Special emphasis was laid on the facilities proposed by the railway, where traders were informed about various incentive schemes and benefits. These schemes aim to encourage traders to transport more goods via the railway.

Traders also discussed the challenges faced in freight loading and transportation, and the railway assured them of prompt resolution of their issues. Under the guidance of the Divisional Railway Manager, the Business Development Unit (BDU) officers are continuously working to encourage traders to use the railway for transporting their goods.

The meeting also explored new measures and schemes to further promote freight loading in the future, with a focus on better facilities and the use of digital technologies. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Mr. Saurabh Kataria urged traders to transport their goods through the railway and take advantage of the facilities provided.

The meeting was attended by Additional Divisional Railway Manager Abhiram Khare and Yogendra Baghel, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria, Senior Divisional Operations Manager Rohit Malviya, other officials, and Chief Commercial Inspector Shakeb Farooqui.
