CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: Rain caused by the effect of Cyclone “Arnab” has changed the weather pattern in Chhattisgarh. A drop in temperature has been recorded in several parts of the state, increasing the impact of the cold. Information has emerged that in some areas the mercury has fallen by around 8 degrees below normal. Overnight rain in Raigarh has affected normal life.

According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of the cyclone is likely to weaken from today, although rain may continue in some parts of northern Chhattisgarh. Due to continuous rain and cold winds, people are feeling the chill during both day and night. The change in weather has also affected farmers. Concern has increased over the quality and safe storage of harvested paddy lying in fields after it got wet.

The weather remains cold at many places in Raigarh and other northern areas because of the rain. Even though the cyclone’s impact is gradually reducing, the possibility of an immediate return to normal weather conditions remains limited. In view of the change in weather, citizens have been advised to remain alert and pay attention to local weather warnings. Farmers should also keep harvested crops in safe places and take measures to protect them from rain.

For now, the Meteorological Department is monitoring the rain situation and changes in temperature across the state. With the cyclone’s impact expected to reduce in the coming days, the weather is likely to improve gradually.
