CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the ongoing “Stay Away from Drugs is Necessary” campaign being conducted by Madhya Pradesh Police until July 30, a 3-kilometer marathon was organized in Satlapur. The event witnessed the participation of over 500 people under the joint aegis of Raisen Police and Rabindranath Tagore University. Participants included students and faculty members of the university, as well as students from other colleges and schools.

This awareness initiative aimed to educate the youth about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to reaffirm the collective commitment to building a drug-free society.
At the conclusion of the marathon, Superintendent of Police Pankaj Kumar Pandey administered the anti-drug pledge to all participants. The event was also graced by Ms. Sheila Surana (SDOP Obedullaganj), Rajeev Agrawal (President, Mandideep Industrial Association), Jalaj Chaturvedi (District Sports Officer, Raisen), along with officers from the traffic police and other police personnel.

In the girls’ category, Poonam Vishwakarma secured first place, followed by Sonam Singh Rajput in second and Niharika Barkhede in third. In the boys’ category, Ankit Pal won first place, Shekhar Meena came second, and Hari Kishan secured third place. All winners were felicitated with awards.
