The 72nd meeting of the Regional Official Language Implementation Committee of West Central Railway, Jabalpur, was held under the chairmanship of Committee Chairman and General Manager Pramod Kumar Khatri.
In his presidential address, the General Manager stated that in accordance with the Official Language Policy of the Government of India, the use of Hindi in official work should be promoted through encouragement and motivation. He expressed satisfaction that significant progress has been made in the use and promotion of Hindi in West Central Railway. He emphasized that promoting Hindi is not an individual effort but a collective responsibility, and all must contribute actively. He directed all department heads and office in-charges to implement various official language provisions effectively.
During the meeting, the 56th issue of the quarterly official language magazine Rajbhasha Sarita, published by the Official Language Department of West Central Railway Headquarters, Jabalpur, was released.
In the meeting, Chief Official Language Officer and Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) M.S. Hashmi briefed the Chairman and members about the programs organized at the headquarters, divisions, and workshops during the review period. He also congratulated the West Central Railway Headquarters for receiving the Rail Minister’s Official Language Shield at the Railway Board level.
Committee members, department heads, Additional Divisional Railway Managers from various divisions, and Chief Workshop Managers participated in the meeting through online mode. All participants informed the Chairman/General Manager about the progress made in the use of Hindi in official work across departments, divisions, and workshops, and also provided constructive suggestions.
The meeting was conducted by Santlal Marskole, Senior Official Language Officer.
