CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Rajesh Singh Kushwaha Elected President of Rugby Football Association Madhya Pradesh

The Special General Assembly of the Rugby Football Association – Madhya Pradesh was held at Hotel Atharva, Ujjain, under the chairmanship of State President Anand Pandya. During the meeting, Rajesh Singh Kushwaha (Executive Council Member, Vikram University, Ujjain) was unanimously elected as the State President of Rugby Football Association, Madhya Pradesh.

Sharing this information, State Secretary Abrar Ahmed Sheikh stated that the Special General Assembly discussed the year-round activities of the association, including upcoming Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior Boys & Girls Championships, and passed several important resolutions.

Former State President Anand Pandya proposed Rajesh Singh Kushwaha’s name, which was supported by officials and board members from various districts, leading to his unopposed election. The newly elected president was welcomed by the members with flower bouquets and garlands.

Both the outgoing and newly elected presidents addressed the assembly, reaffirming their commitment to elevating rugby in Madhya Pradesh and providing better facilities for players.

Presence of Representatives from Various Districts

Representatives from Ujjain, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Khandwa, Betul, Ratlam, Narmadapuram, Dewas, Shajapur, Mandsaur, Khargone, Sehore, Raisen, and other districts of Madhya Pradesh attended the event.

Director Anupam Chouksey, Chairman of the Rugby Football Association, expressed his delight and stated that under Rajesh Kushwaha’s leadership, rugby would continue to progress, and collective efforts would further encourage sports and players.

Special Recognition & Closing Remarks

The session was conducted by State Secretary Abrar Ahmed Sheikh, while Pankaj Jain, Treasurer of Rugby Football Association Madhya Pradesh, delivered the vote of thanks. On this occasion, LNCT honored all members of the Rugby Family with special gifts.
