CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At the campus of Sant Hirdaram Naturopathy and Yoga Women’s College, a tree plantation drive and the inauguration of OPD services for Yoga, Naturopathy, and Physiotherapy were carried out by Honorable Minister Rakesh Shukla, Minister for New and Renewable Energy.

On the occasion of the OPD inauguration, the Minister himself became the first participant and got his blood pressure and sugar levels checked, which were found to be completely normal. Prior to this, he planted saplings of Arjun and Bel (Bael) trees in the college campus.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Shukla said that there is a growing need for practitioners of natural and yogic sciences in every village and city across India. He added that the college is progressing steadily due to the spiritual legacy and dedication associated with Sant Hirdaram. He also assured that a government college and hospital for Yoga and Naturopathy would be established in his home region, Dandaraua Dham.

The program began with a ceremonial lamp lighting and floral tribute. Principal Dr Ankesh Singh stated that the institution has become a model in the fields of service, health education, and women’s empowerment. At the conclusion of the program, student representative Dr Hare Krishna delivered the vote of thanks.

A large number of college staff and students were present at the event. Before arriving at the college, the Minister also visited and reviewed the 125-bed naturopathy hospital, Arogya Kendra.
