CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Ramayan Part 2 release may now be pushed to Diwali 2028

Mumbai. A new update has emerged about Ranbir Kapoor and Yash’s much-awaited film Ramayan Part 2. The film was earlier planned for release on Diwali 2027, but media reports are now suggesting the possibility of its release being pushed to Diwali 2028. However, the film’s makers have not yet officially confirmed this change.

According to a report by entertainment portal Bollywood Hungama, additional time is needed for the shooting of the film’s second part. In particular, the battle between Ram and Ravan and the large-scale action sequences are taking longer than expected to prepare. Citing sources, the report said producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitesh Tiwari are working to make the film a grand cinematic experience. A major portion of the story and important war-related sequences are expected to feature in the second part. In this situation, extending the production schedule is being considered.

Audiences are waiting for the first part. Ramayan Part 1 is planned for release in cinemas on November 5, 2026. In the film, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita and Yash as Ravan. Sunny Deol is playing Hanuman and Ravi Dubey is playing Lakshman. For now, a final decision and official announcement on the new release date of Ramayan Part 2 are still awaited. Therefore, the 2028 release should currently be considered only a possibility.
