CNN Central News and Network – ITDC India Express / ITDC News Bhopal Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has shed light on his much-anticipated film ‘Ramayana’, calling it “India’s greatest story.” He also shared updates about his other project, ‘Animal,’ a three-part franchise set to commence its next chapter in 2027.

Ranbir on ‘Ramayana’:
Speaking to Deadline.com, Ranbir revealed that he has completed the first part of the epic, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, and will soon begin shooting the second part.
“I am currently working on a film called ‘Ramayan,’ which is India’s greatest story. It’s being produced by Namit Malhotra and involves artists, creators, and crew members from around the world. The film is made in two parts and tells the story of Lord Ram and Raavan.”

The actor expressed his excitement about bringing this timeless tale to a new generation using cutting-edge technology.
“Playing the role of Lord Ram is an exciting and gratifying opportunity for me as an actor.”

The film boasts an impressive cast, including Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman.

Update on ‘Animal’:
Discussing the future of ‘Animal,’ Ranbir disclosed that the sequel, titled ‘Animal Park,’ will begin production in 2027.
“The director wants to make the film in three parts. It’s exciting because I get to play two roles—both the antagonist and the protagonist.”

The first installment of ‘Animal’, released in 2023, was directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and explored the complex and emotional relationship between a father and son.

Reflecting on His Career:
Ranbir also reflected on his journey in the industry, highlighting how his debut film ‘Saawariya’ in 2007 shaped his perspective.
“‘Saawariya’ was a big disaster at the box office, but it humbled me. Directed by the legendary Sanjay Leela Bhansali, it taught me about the industry’s highs and lows and prepared me for the challenges ahead.”

Having acted in over 21 films during his 17-year career, Ranbir credits his failures for teaching him more than his successes.
“Every film has brought some change in me. Failure has always been a bigger teacher than success.”

With a diverse slate of projects and a reflective outlook, Ranbir Kapoor continues to solidify his position as one of Bollywood’s most dynamic actors. Fans eagerly await his portrayal of Lord Ram in ‘Ramayana’ and the next chapter of ‘Animal.
