CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Ravindra Lakhara, who had been serving as Senior Publicity Inspector in the Bhopal Division of West Central Railway since February 2023, has been transferred to the Kota Division. During his tenure of two and a half years, he significantly elevated the image of Bhopal Division, a capital division, by taking railway public relations work to new heights. Under his leadership, Bhopal Division consistently ranked first among the Jabalpur, Kota, and Bhopal divisions in terms of press releases and media coverage.
Throughout his tenure, Lakhara successfully managed several important national and regional programs. These included events connected with the Prime Minister, the inauguration of the Vande Bharat train, announcements of new trains and stoppages, inauguration of stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, press conferences of the Railway Minister and Divisional Railway Manager, media tours, the inauguration of the IRCTC VIP lounge, programs of the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, inspections by the Chairman of the Railway Board, and visits by the General Manager. He received valuable support in these efforts from Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria, Public Relations Officer Naval Agrawal, and the entire commercial team.
He built cordial and trustworthy relations with media representatives in Bhopal Division. His friendly approach and promptness in providing accurate information ensured that railway news consistently received priority in both print and electronic media. As a result, information related to railway activities and passenger services reached the general public on a wide scale.
Now, Ravindra Lakhara will take charge in the Kota Division, while Shivshankar Shah will assume the role of Senior Publicity Inspector in the Bhopal Division. It is expected that the tradition of strong cooperation between the media and the railways will continue to flourish in the future.
