CNN Central News & Network – ITDC India Express / ITDC News Bhopal:The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is celebrating its 90 years of operations. As part of the commemorative events, the RBI is organizing the RBI90 Quiz for undergraduate students across the country. The fourth Zonal Round of this quiz was held at Hotel Marriott in Indore.
The Zonal Round witnessed enthusiastic participation from state-level winners representing Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan. The winning team from the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, Maharashtra, comprising Priyanshu Mehar and Uday Tej Singh, secured their place in the National Round of the RBI90 Quiz, scheduled to be held on December 6, 2024, in Mumbai. In the National Round, they will compete against winners from other Zonal Rounds for the championship.
The team from Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and BITS Pilani – KK Birla, Goa, secured the second and third positions, respectively. The top three teams were awarded cash prizes of ₹5 lakh, ₹4 lakh, and ₹3 lakh, respectively.
On this occasion, RBI’s Executive Director Ajay Kumar emphasized the need for youth to develop the knowledge and skills required to make prudent financial decisions regarding investments and to educate others in this regard. He also highlighted RBI’s efforts to promote financial awareness among the public through multimedia campaigns titled “RBI Says”.
