CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The concluding session of the Regional Rupaka Mahotsav was chaired by Prof. Ramakant Pandey, Director of the Central Sanskrit University, Bhopal Campus. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. C.G. Vijay Kumar Menon, Vice-Chancellor of Maharishi Panini Sanskrit and Vedic University, Ujjain, as the Chief Guest, along with Prof. Kshetravasi Panda as the Distinguished Guest and Dr. Govind Gandhe as the Saraswat Guest.

The welcome address was delivered by Prof. Sanandan Kumar Tripathi, while the event report was presented by Prof. Kripa Shankar Sharma, who announced that the winners of this program would perform at the All-India Rupaka Mahotsav to be held in Bhopal next month. The vote of thanks was given by Neelabh Tiwari, and the event was anchored by Sheetanshu Tripathi.

On the second day of the Regional Rupaka Mahotsav at the Central Sanskrit University, Bhopal Campus, five plays were staged. The first play, Vikasatu Esha Kalika, presented by Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Nagpur, Maharashtra, focused on women’s empowerment and inspired women to live courageously. Another play, Pratibha Parikshan, performed by Haryana Sanskrit Vidyapeetham, Baghol, Haryana, emphasized protecting children from cultural degradation and instilling pride in India’s glorious traditions. Written by Padma Shri poet Abhiraj Rajendra Mishra, this one-act play encouraged introspection among students.

The Director of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University, New Delhi, presented the play Mahadanam, highlighting the noble act of blood donation through the lens of a farmer’s plight, emphasizing human values and societal responsibility. The Central Sanskrit University, Lucknow Campus, staged Netralilayat, written by Shri Vindheshwari Prasad Mishra and Vinay. This play depicted how leaders manipulate the masses, weaving the narrative into a traditional framework.

The Central Sanskrit University, Bhopal Campus, performed Pallikamal, written by Rama Chaudhary, which emphasized the value of daughters and their loving relationships with parents, while discussing marriage proposals.

On the final day, the results of the competition were announced. The Central Sanskrit University, Bhopal Campus, secured the first position, followed by the Lucknow and Jaipur Campuses of the Central Sanskrit University in second place, and Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Nagpur, tied with Ekrasanand Adarsh Sanskrit College, Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, in third place.

Ayush Mishra from the Lucknow Campus was awarded Best Actor, while Sakshi Raina from the Bhopal Campus won Best Actress.

Prof. Ramakant Pandey, Director of the Central Sanskrit University, Bhopal Campus, congratulated all participants, emphasizing that participation is more important than winning. He applauded the efforts of all participants for their hard work and exceptional performances. The winners of the Regional Rupaka Mahotsav will perform Sanskrit dramas at the All-India Rupaka Mahotsav in February 2025.
