CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: I am pleased to inform you that our country is going to celebrate the first National Space Day on August 23, 2024, marking the successful soft landing of ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 mission’s Vikram Lander on the Moon’s south pole last year, making India the first country in the world to achieve this feat.

To commemorate this historic occasion, this center, in collaboration with the Space Applications Centre (SAC), Master Control Facility (MCF), ISRO Center, Bhopal, is organizing the following series of programs from August 12 to 13, 2024, for school/college students and the general public.

Competitions:

Poster Making Competition: For school students of classes 8th to 10th on the theme “Touching Lives, Touching the Moon: India’s Space Saga.”

Robotics Mission Competition: For diploma/B.Sc./B.E./B.Tech. students on the theme “Rover for the Red Planet.”

Expert Interaction:

During this time, a “Meet the Scientist” program will also be organized, where participants will have the opportunity to interact with Manish M. Mehta, Group Director, Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad. Mr. Mehta will shed light on the Chandrayaan mission.

Additionally, an exhibition on the theme “Indian Space Program” and a panel discussion on the theme “Self-Reliant India in Space by 2024” will be organized. The panelists for the discussion are:
