CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal, The Regional Science Centre, Bhopal, organised a one-day workshop on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics for girl students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Ratibad, Bhopal.
The objective of the workshop was to promote interest and participation in education by developing scientific temper, curiosity, creativity and problem-solving ability among the students. During the programme, the students understood various scientific concepts through experiments and activities.
Experiments and practical activities related to temperature and heat, Newton’s laws of motion, space science, chemistry and biology were demonstrated and conducted during the workshop. The students took part in the experiments themselves and understood scientific principles by linking them with their applications in daily life. Through various hands-on activities, they were provided an experiential learning opportunity.
The workshop was designed and conducted in line with the objectives of the National Education Policy 2020, the Madhya Pradesh Space Technology Policy and the Madhya Pradesh Science and Technology Policy. The programme placed special emphasis on encouraging girl students to move forward in the field of science and technology and to be inspired towards innovation and research. Through the workshop, the students were given the message that science is not a subject limited only to books, but can be understood more effectively by observing, doing, experimenting and connecting it with daily life.
