CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: During the HTLS 2025 event, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta addressed the escalating pollution crisis in the national capital, stating that there is “no magic wand” to solve the issue instantly but assured that her government is “doing everything possible” to tackle the worsening air quality. Gupta emphasized that pollution is a multi-layered challenge involving vehicular emissions, industrial output, construction dust, and seasonal factors such as stubble burning in neighbouring states.

She highlighted key measures undertaken by the Delhi government, including the expansion of green mobility, strict enforcement on polluting vehicles, the deployment of smog guns, and rapid monitoring through real-time air quality systems. Gupta reiterated the need for inter-state coordination, stressing that without cooperation from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, long-term improvement would remain difficult.

The Chief Minister also urged the public to contribute by reducing private vehicle use, adopting greener practices, and supporting government-led initiatives. Her remarks sparked discussions among policy experts and citizens, many of whom acknowledged the complexities of Delhi’s pollution crisis. HTLS 2025 thus became a platform for renewed focus on actionable climate solutions and collaborative governance to safeguard Delhi’s environment.
