CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: All departments must complete their assigned tasks for the Republic Day main event on time. Commissioner Sanjeev Singh inspected the Motilal Nehru Stadium at Lal Parade Ground regarding preparations for the Republic Day main ceremony on January 26 and held a meeting with the concerned officials.

During the meeting, he emphasized ensuring arrangements for seating, drinking water, and other necessities for the main event. Present at the meeting were Director of Culture N.P. Namdev, Municipal Commissioner Harendra Narayan, ADM Siddharth Jain, and officials from related departments. Notably, parade and march-past rehearsals have already begun.

Commissioner Singh stated that the national festival of Republic Day will be celebrated with full dignity and enthusiasm. He directed officials to ensure proper seating arrangements for guests attending the event so that no one faces inconvenience. He also instructed the Municipal Corporation and Public Works Department to coordinate and ensure better arrangements.

The inspection and meeting were attended by officials from the Revenue, Public Works, Public Relations, Municipal Corporation, Police, Electricity, and other departments.

Tableaux on the Theme of Heritage and Development

Director of Culture N.P. Namdev shared that a total of 22 tableaux, based on the government’s schemes and achievements, will be presented during the Republic Day main event. This year, the theme of the tableaux will be “Heritage and Development.” The program will also feature performances of Gaur and Korku folk dances by local dance troupes.
