CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Rabindranath Tagore University. On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor, Sanjeev Gupta, and Registrar, Sangeeta Johri, hoisted the national flag. Following this, the NCC Naval Wing cadets, under the guidance of Sub-Lieutenant Manoj Singh Manral and Instructor Durga Verma, presented the Guard of Honor to the national flag.

In his address, Director Sanjeev Gupta said that Republic Day is not just a celebration but a symbol of our responsibilities. He emphasized that the day reminds us of our duties, urging everyone to set new benchmarks in education and contribute to the nation’s progress. Director Sangeeta Johri stated that Republic Day reminds us of the values of liberty, equality, and fraternity enshrined in our Constitution. She encouraged everyone to uphold these principles and work together to make India stronger and more united.

The cultural performances captivated the audience. University student Jiya Singh highlighted the importance of Republic Day in her speech, inspiring citizens to fulfill their duties. Student Ira Saxena performed a mesmerizing patriotic dance, while student Satyam enchanted the audience with a patriotic song. Additionally, a group of students from the Tagore National Drama School performed patriotic songs, leaving the audience spellbound.

The event concluded with the national anthem. Dean of Student Welfare Ankit Pandit, along with faculty members, students, and staff, participated in large numbers to make the event a grand success.
