CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The All India Research Conference at NITTTR Bhopal concluded successfully. The theme of the conference was “Lokmata Ahilyabai: Concept of National Renaissance,” under which scholars and researchers from across the country presented 120 research papers on 5 topics.
The chief guest of the closing session was Krishna Gaur, Director and Minister of State for Independent Charge, Government of Madhya Pradesh. While addressing the gathering, Director Gaur spoke about the dedication of Lokmata Ahilyabai’s life and stated that this research conference is not only a reminder of our glorious past but also an intellectual foundation that will prove helpful in determining the future direction of the nation.
Lokmata Ahilyabai governed with the principle of “Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvajan Sukhay” (welfare of all, happiness of all) and gave a new shape to Indian administrative ideals. During her reign, service was considered the ultimate pursuit, and this spirit can become an inspiration for the rebuilding of modern India. This conference is not just a tribute to Lokmata Ahilyabai, but also a resolve to follow her ideals.
The chief speaker of the session, Director Deepak Vispute, emphasized that researchers should not limit themselves to the curriculum but should engage deeply with the subject, think critically, and conduct independent research. He further suggested that the intellectual history of India, especially the distortions in the past, should be uncovered through research and thought.
During her reign, Ahilyabai gave immense importance to the renovation of temples, preservation of religious sites, expansion of public education, and social welfare initiatives. Director Sachin Tiwari, Secretary of the organizing committee, presented a detailed report of the conference. Prof. P.K. Purohit, Coordinator of the organizing committee, expressed gratitude and remarked that the ideas, discussions, and research generated during this conference would inspire an academic renaissance in India.
This event was not only an attempt to better understand Lokmata Ahilyabai’s life and philosophy, but also a positive step toward connecting her ideals with the present-day educational context. On this occasion, the abstract booklet of the research papers was unveiled. Dignitaries from the collaborating institutions, including their Vice-Chancellors, were also present. The event was conducted by Mrs. Babli Chaturvedi.
