CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Research Centre of the Central Sanskrit University is conducting a six-month pre-research course for PhD scholars. Renowned scholars from across the country are being invited to familiarize students with the finer nuances of research. The Central Sanskrit University is shaping students to establish a global reputation in the field of research. An important objective of this initiative is to explore the socially relevant, profound knowledge hidden within classical Sanskrit texts and to highlight their practical utility.
The university is continuously striving to ensure that Indian researchers and their research become exemplary at the international level. With this vision, the Bhopal Campus Research Centre is utilizing its full potential. Prof. Hanskar Jha stated that the centre places complete emphasis on the quality of research. The Research Centre In-Charge, Prof. Kripashankar Sharma, consistently motivates researchers to remain vigilant and committed to producing high-quality research. Prof. Sharma emphasized that today the entire world is focusing on Sanskrit, as researchers of Sanskrit alone can offer fundamental solutions for world peace and global welfare.
Indian knowledge traditions cannot be understood without Sanskrit. Through a virtual platform, Prof. Vijay Shankar Shukla from Varanasi, while delivering a lecture on critical editing of manuscripts, explained that although no texts have yet been found in the Brahmi script, the possibility still exists that such manuscripts may be discovered in the future. Manuscripts are available in Devanagari, Sharada, Grantha, and various regional scripts. Editing and preserving these handwritten manuscripts is the responsibility of Indian scholars and students. Prof. Shukla also shared historical insights into different scripts and expressed his confidence that researchers of the Central Sanskrit University will certainly set new benchmarks in this field.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Shrigovind Pandey.
