CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At the health centers of Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre (BMHRC), patients will now receive consultations from specialist doctors for respiratory diseases. For this purpose, respiratory clinics have been started at the health centers. The initiative began at Health Center No. 1 on Chhola Road. In this clinic, the institute’s respiratory specialists will provide consultations to patients suffering from conditions like asthma and COPD every Wednesday from 11 AM to 1 PM. Pulmonary function tests and other examinations for the patients will also be conducted at these health centers.
Dr. Manisha Srivastava, the in-charge of BMHRC, explained that the clinic was started to ensure that respiratory patients receive specialist doctor services at their health centers. The initiative started at the health center on Chhola Road and will next be conducted at Health Center No. 2 at Station Bajaria, followed by other health centers in sequence. Patients will also be able to undergo X-rays and PFT tests at these clinics. Additionally, a physiotherapist will be available to teach patients physiotherapy exercises based on their specific conditions.
It is noteworthy that BMHRC has eight health centers located in Kainchi Chhola, Station Bajaria, Chandbad, Teela Jamalpura, Ginnori, Itwara Road, Karond, and Bal Vihar in the old city.
