CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The CBI team, which raided the premises of former principal of RG Kar Medical College Sandip Ghosh in Kolkata, were made to wait for 75 minutes at his doorsteps before Ghosh finally let them in. The raid was carried out in connection with alleged financial irregularities at the hospital during his tenure as the principal.

The CBI team of seven people, including a woman official, arrived at Sandip Ghosh’s residence at around 6:50 am. However, the gate appeared locked, according to Anand Bazar Patrika online.

Though the officials knocked on the door and rang the bell, there was no response. All efforts to contact Ghosh were unsuccessful as he did not attend the phone call. The officials waited until one of the CBI officials approached the Beleghata Police Station to discuss the next steps. However, around 8:05 am, Ghosh finally opened the door and let the officials in.
