CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the aegis of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), the state-level RGPV Drop Roball Men’s and Women’s Championship 2024–25 was successfully organized by Lakshmi Narain College of Technology (LNCT), Bhopal at its Raisen Road campus.

More than 70 male and female athletes from 6 nodal centers under RGPV showcased their talent during the tournament.

Championship Highlights:

In the women’s category, Bhopal Nodal emerged as the overall champion by winning 4 gold medals, while Ujjain Nodal secured the second position with 2 silver medals.

In the men’s category, Bhopal Nodal again secured the overall champion title with 3 gold medals, and Jabalpur Nodal claimed the runner-up spot with 2 silver medals.

The competition was inaugurated by Dr. Ashok Kumar Rai, Director of Administration, who met and encouraged the players during the opening ceremony.

Singles Final:

Poornima (Bhopal Nodal) defeated Taruni (Jabalpur) 2-0 to win gold.

Doubles Final:

Aditi and Vaishnavi (Bhopal) beat Ishita and Rashi (Jabalpur) 2-0 to claim gold.

Triples Final:

Aashi Rathore, Anushka Thakur, and Deeksha (Bhopal) defeated Anushtan, Ankita, and Ishika (Jabalpur) 2-0.

Mixed Doubles Final:

Mansi Sahu, Aastha, Anshu, and Nivid (Bhopal) overcame Yash and Sunita (Ujjain) 2-0 for gold.

Men’s Category:

Singles Final:

Sachin Gupta (Bhopal) defeated Yash (Jabalpur) 2-0.

Doubles Final:

Krishna Gopal and Vishal (Bhopal) beat the previous year’s champions Kamal and Harshit (Indore) 2-0.

Triples Final:

Hemant, Ali, Vineet, Abhishek, Harsh, and Rahul (Bhopal) defeated Roshan, Sumit, and Ayush (Jabalpur) 2-0.

Competition Secretary Mahesh Sodhiya informed that the selected players from this event will represent RGPV at the All India Inter-University Drop Roball Championship 2024–25, scheduled to be held at LNCT University, Bhopal from April 6 to 9, 2025.
