CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The annual cultural festival ‘Rhythm 2K25’ at Rabindranath Tagore University commenced this year with grandeur and renewed enthusiasm, marking its 15th edition. The four-day celebration is themed “Retro Revival”, aiming to blend nostalgic cultural imagery of the past with modern creativity, connecting today’s youth to timeless traditions.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Director Aditi Chaturvedi Vats, Pro-Chancellor R.P. Dubey, Vice Chancellor Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, Pro Vice Chancellor Sangeeta Johri, and other senior university officials. Speaking at the event, Director Aditi Chaturvedi said that fests like “Rhythm” foster leadership, cultural awareness, and social engagement among students.
Prior to the inauguration, a grand procession was carried out across the university campus, where students captivated everyone with colorful floats and cultural performances.
Over the first two days, various competitions were held including body painting, street plays, debates, dance, singing, and a coding marathon, attracting participation from students of various colleges.
One of the highlights of the fest is the Afro-Fest, featuring participation from around 250 students representing 15 African countries. On April 11, winners of various events will be felicitated in a mega event, followed by a celebrity night on April 12, featuring a performance by renowned Bollywood singer Arjun Kanungo.
The entire event is being organized by the Student Activity Council of the university.
