CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Veteran match referees Richie Richardson and Andy Pycroft have been appointed to head the panel of match officials for the Asia Cup 2025 T20 tournament, according to Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announcements on September 8, 2025
This elite officiating duo will oversee the group-stage matches as the tournament kicks off.
The panel of umpires includes:
India: Virender Sharma, Rohan Pandit
Sri Lanka: Raveendra Wimalasiri, Ruchira Palliyaguruge
Afghanistan: Ahmad Pakteen, Izatullah Safi
Pakistan: Asif Yaqoob, Faisal Afridi
Bangladesh: Gazi Sohel, Masudur Rahman
Of particular note is the high-voltage India–Pakistan clash in Dubai on September 14, where Andy Pycroft will serve as match referee. The on-field umpires for this marquee encounter are Sri Lanka’s Ruchira Palliyaguruge and Bangladesh’s Masudur Rahman
