CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At the ongoing Thailand World Cup Kickboxing Championship in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, international athlete Riddhima Kaushik from Faridabad, part of a 31-member Indian team, delivered a stellar performance by defeating the host country’s player in the final round to win a gold medal for India.
Santosh Kumar Agrawal, National President of the WAKO India Kickboxing Federation, stated on Thursday that over 1,000 athletes from around 42 countries are participating in this World Cup Kickboxing Championship. On the second day, the Indian team achieved remarkable success, with Riddhima Kaushik winning two gold medals in two weight categories of the kick light event.
Other Indian athletes also brought glory to the country:
Anushka Tamang won a silver medal
Mithilesh Neelam Badoliya won a silver medal
Pooja Patel bagged two silver medals
Abhishek Saini secured a silver medal
Shraddha Rangar and Riyanshi Roy won bronze medals
Aditya Makorwal and Abhishek Saini also earned bronze medals in their respective weight categories.
