CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The annual cultural festival RIdham 2026 at Rabindranath Tagore University concluded with grandeur and enthusiasm. The entire university campus was vibrant with energy, creativity, and cultural colors, as students showcased their talents through diverse performances. The event began with the arrival of guests and a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony.
The chief guest, Group Captain Alok Shrivastava (Director, NCC Directorate Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh), along with Prof. Aditi Chaturvedi Vats, Vice-Chancellor Ravi Prakash Dubey, Prof. Sanjeev Gupta, Registrar Sangeeta Johri, and IQAC Director Nitin Vats, graced the occasion. Atul Tiwari from the Student Activity Council delivered the welcome speech.
In his address, the chief guest emphasized that cultural events like these nurture leadership, discipline, and team spirit among students. Prof. Aditi Chaturvedi Vats highlighted the role of such festivals in encouraging creativity, while Vice-Chancellor Ravi Prakash Dubey noted that education extends beyond textbooks, and cultural activities are crucial for holistic personality development.

During the event, students captivated the audience with vibrant dance performances, orchestra, fashion shows, and creative presentations on the theme “One India, Best India.” Group dances from various departments—Humanities, Law, and Paramedical—were particular highlights.
Students associated with NCC, NSS, Yuvaaz, E&I Cell, Cultural Club, and other organizations were felicitated. The NSS commemorative publication was released, competition results were announced, and clubs were recognized for their outstanding activities. NCC cadets, including Cadet Captain Nikhil Kumar Verma and Harsh Thakur, received awards in various categories.
The festival served as a powerful platform to showcase and enhance students’ talent, creativity, and leadership skills.
