CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Engineers’ Day was organised at Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU). The programme introduced students to opportunities for moving ahead in the field of engineering through innovation, entrepreneurship and changing technology. The event was organised by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology department in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology. Manoj Modi, managing director of Orient Kagaz Converters, attended as the chief guest. He shared his experiences of turning the challenges and opportunities he faced as an engineer into success.
At the programme, Pro-VC Sanjeev Kumar Gupta and Dean Vinay Kumar Yadav delivered motivational addresses to the students. They stressed linking engineering education with practical knowledge, innovation and the needs of society. Students were encouraged to develop creative thinking and continue learning along with building technical competence. Dr T. Ravikiran and Rohit Pathak successfully organised the programme after receiving a grant from the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MPCST), Bhopal.
On the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Ravi Prakash Dubey said engineering is not merely technical knowledge, but a medium for solving society’s problems and contributing to nation-building. Registrar Sangeeta Jauhari said such events help develop creative thinking, technical understanding and confidence among students. A short film based on the life of India’s great engineer Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya and his contribution to nation-building was also screened at the programme. As part of the event, a poster-making competition on the theme “AI and Digital Transformation” was organised, in which students participated enthusiastically. Through the competition, students creatively presented the changing nature of artificial intelligence and digital technology. More than 200 students and teachers of the university participated in the programme.
