CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal. Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal, organised the ‘Vanmali Shikshak Samman 2026’ ceremony. More than 80 teachers associated with schools from various development blocks of Vidisha district were honoured for their contribution and services. The programme also shared information on the initiatives being undertaken by the university for the all-round development of students through education, youth development, skill development and sports.
University Registrar Sangeeta Jouhari, officials of AISECT and RNTU, Vidisha Municipality chairperson’s representative Rakesh Sharma and District Education Officer’s representative Lily Jain were present at the event. President’s Award-winning teacher Balveer Singh Tomar and Governor’s Award-winning teachers Pramod Chauhan and Vijay Shrivastava also attended the programme.
Chief guest Rakesh Sharma said teachers are an important foundation of society and nation-building. He said teachers do not merely impart subject knowledge to students, but also play an important role in shaping their personality, values and future.
Registrar Sangeeta Jouhari welcomed the teachers present at the ceremony. She briefed them on RNTU’s academic activities, various courses and the facilities being provided to students. She said the university is emphasising employment-oriented and skill-based education along with quality education. Sports and skill development are also being encouraged alongside academic activities for the all-round development of students.
AISECT Vidisha district manager Shivendra Singh Rajput, RNTU Assistant Registrar Admissions Santosh Upadhyay, Admission Manager Sharad Dubey, Assistant Manager Sandeep and other representatives were present at the programme.
AISECT Senior Marketing Executive Vinod Kumar Sen, Assistant Manager Vivek Sangode and Raisen district manager Rampal Singh Patharia also attended the event. Vidisha district branch managers Ashok Sen, Murari Thakur, Sanjeev Raghuvanshi and Sanjay Vishwas, along with other dignitaries, were present.
At the end of the programme, Santosh Upadhyay expressed gratitude to the chief guest, guests, honoured teachers and all associates connected with the event.
Through the ‘Vanmali Shikshak Samman 2026’, the contribution of teachers from the district was recognised, while efforts being made for the all-round development of students through education, skill development and sports were also highlighted.
