The RNTU Institute of Pharmacy organized an industrial visit to Vindhya Herbals, Bhopal for its students. A total of 40 students participated in this educational tour, guided by Principal Durga Pandey along with Assistant Professors Disha Deshmukh and Sonika Prajapati. The main objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to the herbal medicine industry.
Experts at Vindhya Herbals provided detailed information on the cultivation and identification of medicinal plants, their scientific names, medicinal uses, and manufacturing processes.
During the visit, students observed the filtration, extraction, and manufacturing units, and gained insights into Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality control procedures. They also learned how raw medicinal materials are transformed into standardized pharmaceutical products.
Dr. Durga Pandey appreciated this initiative, stating that such industrial visits enhance students’ practical knowledge, technical skills, and industrial understanding. She encouraged students to actively participate in similar educational programs in the future. The visit proved highly informative, providing students with a clear understanding of the real-world processes in pharmaceutical and herbal sciences.
