CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The two-day program “Research Summit Science Festival 2025”, focused on research and innovation, concluded at the Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU) campus. The valedictory session featured Shri Bharat Sharan Singh, Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Private University Regulatory Commission, as the chief guest, and Dr. Manoj Kumar Pateriya (Former Director, CSIR–NIScPR) and Dr. Namrata Pathak (Scientist-G, NGP & SMP, Ministry of Science and Technology) as special guests.
Other distinguished attendees included Shri Siddharth Chaturvedi (Chancellor, Scope Global Skills University), Prof. Aditi Chaturvedi Vats (Pro-Chancellor, RNTU), Dr. R.P. Dubey (Vice-Chancellor, RNTU), and Dr. Arun Joshi (Vice-Chancellor, CVRU Khandwa).
During his address, Bharat Sharan Singh encouraged researchers to contribute towards making India a developed nation by 2047. Citing several historical achievements, he highlighted that in 1750, India accounted for 25% of the world’s GDP and showcased excellence in architecture from Harappa to Hampi. He also touched on ancient Indian advancements in mathematics, electricity, metallurgy, and astronomy. He emphasized that expensive equipment isn’t a prerequisite for research; rather, a researcher’s inquisitive mindset is key.
Dr. Manoj Kumar Pateriya appreciated the Technology Transfer Center established by RNTU and noted its significance in making research industry-ready. He added that while India possesses vast ancient knowledge, the lack of scientific validation keeps global attention away. He emphasized the need for work in this direction.
Earlier, Shri Siddharth Chaturvedi pointed out that India ranks 40th globally in research and has significantly lower research investment compared to developed nations. He emphasized the need for speed and innovation, for which programs like “Shodh Shikhar” are essential.
Prof. Aditi Chaturvedi Vats shared the impact of the two-day event: over 1,500 participants across 7 parallel sessions, more than 100 speakers, 176 institutions, 75+ projects, and 300+ research papers were presented. Additionally, commercialization of 25+ research works and products was discussed in detail.
Awards were given to participants across categories such as Engineering & Technology, Medical Science, Science & Agriculture, Education & Law, and Management, Commerce & Humanities. Winners of the Science Communication competition were also honored.

Today, over 35,000 copies of the magazine are published monthly.
Chancellor Choubey concluded the session by highlighting India’s rich tradition of scientific wisdom in its knowledge systems.
