CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: Rabindranath Tagore University is organising the first-ever Velocity Night Run 2026 in Bhopal. The unique night run will be held at TT Nagar Stadium, Bhopal, and runners, fitness enthusiasts and young participants from the city as well as across the state will take part. The objective of the programme is to promote fitness, discipline, health awareness and sportsmanship among the youth.
Held in a night-time setting, the run will offer participants an energetic, exciting and thrilling experience amid the stadium lights. The competition has been divided into one-hour, two-hour and three-hour categories, allowing participants to compete according to their capacity.
All participants have been asked to report 30 minutes before the start of the run. Late entry will not be allowed.
During the run, track lanes of different colours have been designated for participants so that the event can be conducted in an organised and safe manner. Special fitness and running zones will also be set up inside the stadium premises.
On the occasion, Rabindranath Tagore University Chancellor Aditi Chaturvedi Vats said the Velocity Night Run was not merely a sports event, but an inspiring initiative to promote health, fitness and a positive lifestyle among the youth. She said such events motivate young people to push beyond their limits and develop self-confidence and discipline.
Rabindranath Tagore University Registrar Sangeeta Johri said the university has always encouraged events related to sports, health and personality development for the holistic growth of students and youth. She said Velocity Night Run 2026 would give young people an experience of positive energy and team spirit along with fitness.
The university management has appealed to more and more youth, players and fitness enthusiasts to participate in this special night run.
