CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A general meeting of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti was held at Civil Hospital Bairagarh under the chairmanship of local MLA Rameshwar Sharma. The meeting focused on the services being provided at the hospital, ongoing upgrades, and the expansion of services.

Key officials present included Bhopal’s Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Manish Sharma, Hospital Superintendent Dr. J.K. Jain, along with representatives from the Municipal Corporation, MPEB, Police, and the Women and Child Development Department.

Discussions and decisions were made on several issues, including the inauguration of the hospital’s new building, water supply system, sonography services, kitchen management, a separate medicine counter for the elderly and differently-abled, and the development of a medicinal plant garden. Necessary instructions were also issued.

The MLA emphasized that every penny of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti should be used to improve patient healthcare services and instructed that no formal felicitation or ceremonial welcomes be conducted during meetings. He directed the hospital administration to ensure all facilities, equipment, and furniture are arranged before the inauguration of the new building. Installation of CCTV cameras at the medicine distribution center and other critical locations was also instructed.

The Municipal Corporation was asked to submit an estimate and expedite approval for water supply reinforcement and new tap connections.

Further discussions included arranging for a sonologist through the Rogi Kalyan Samiti for daily sonography, setting up a Deendayal Rasoi (subsidized kitchen) for patient meals, establishing a canteen for attendants and staff, and constructing a night shelter (rain basera) for attendants of patients from remote rural areas.

MLA Rameshwar Sharma also emphasized maintaining proper cleanliness in the hospital and changing bed sheets daily. He instructed the setup of a police outpost within the hospital and the opening of a Jan Aushadhi Kendra (generic medicine center).
