CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A lecture on the topic “Role of Teachers in Civic Duties” was organized by the Department of Indian Knowledge Systems, NITTTR Bhopal. The keynote speaker of the lecture was Vikrant Khandelwal, Organizational Secretary of Bharat Vikas Parishad. While elaborating on the concept of Indian educational philosophy, Khandelwal stated that creation is not possible without sensitivity; therefore, it is extremely important for teachers to be sensitive. A teacher should evaluate his or her own work and view education not only as a right but also as a duty. Rights and duties are like the two wheels of a cart—rights are meaningful only when we fulfill our duties with full responsibility. He emphasized that everyone should develop a mindset of giving back to nature. A person’s conduct in public life reflects their true identity. Life should not merely be successful but meaningful, and teachers must contribute by inspiring this outlook. Highlighting the supreme value of the teaching profession, he said that the future is shaped in the lap of teachers and that there is no greater value than education.

NITTTR Bhopal Director Dr. C. C. Tripathi said that teachers are not just imparting knowledge but are also a powerful medium for bringing about change in society. The sensitivity of teachers and their fulfillment of duties play a vital role in shaping ideal citizens. He emphasized the need to further strengthen education policies and teaching methodologies from this perspective so that every citizen of the country becomes duty-conscious and socially responsible.

Dean (Science) and IKS Head Prof. P. K. Purohit said that it is through the efforts of teachers that we can preserve our cultural heritage while moving toward new knowledge. The lecture provided an opportunity to understand that the true purpose of education is not only academic success but also the creation of sensitive and duty-oriented citizens.

On this occasion, Vandana Tripathi, Dr. R. K. Dixit, Dr. Ramendra Singh, and officers and staff of the institute were present. The program was conducted by Babli Chaturvedi.
