CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Indian athletes added two more medals to their tally at the Asian Games 2026 on Thursday. Wushu player Naorem Roshibina Devi won the silver medal in the women’s 60kg sanda category, while the rowing pair of Satnam Singh and Salman Khan secured bronze in the men’s double sculls event.
Roshibina Devi faced China’s Zhang Xiaoyu in the final. The Indian player lost the bout 0-2, with Zhang winning both rounds 5-0. Despite the defeat, Roshibina maintained her run of winning a medal at a third consecutive Asian Games. She had earlier won bronze in 2018 and silver in 2023.
Meanwhile, Satnam Singh and Salman Khan clocked 6 minutes 13.25 seconds to win bronze in the men’s double sculls event. The Chinese pair won gold with a time of 6:09.37, while the Uzbekistan pair took silver with a timing of 6:10.49.
With these two medals, India’s medal count at the Asian Games 2026 has risen to 14. The Indian contingent now has one gold, six silver and seven bronze medals.
