/ Agencies: A new facility has been started for tourists reaching Achanakmar Tiger Reserve from Amarkantak. Tourists will now be able to enter the tiger reserve directly through Kevchi Gate and enjoy a safari. On the first day of the launch of safari on this route, 11 tourists made bookings. The new arrangement is expected to make it easier for tourists visiting Amarkantak to reach Achanakmar.
Achanakmar Tiger Reserve is known for its biodiversity and natural forest wealth. Apart from tigers, it is also the natural habitat of several other wildlife species and birds. Through the safari, tourists will be able to see the forest’s natural environment and wildlife from close quarters.
With the start of the entry facility through Kevchi Gate, people visiting Amarkantak and nearby tourist destinations now have an additional option for travelling to Achanakmar. The booking by 11 people on the first day is being seen as the beginning of this new arrangement.
During the safari, tourists will have to follow the rules and safety instructions prescribed by the Forest Department. It is necessary to avoid disturbing wildlife, making noise or interfering with their natural habitat. The new entry arrangement is likely to boost tourism activities in the area.
