CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) is placing special emphasis on the safety of women. To ensure that all female passengers have a safe and supportive travel experience, the RPF has implemented various effective initiatives. The primary goal of these efforts is to build trust among women and strengthen their security, which is one of the RPF’s top priorities.

Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Bhopal, Devashish Tripathi, and Principal Chief Security Commissioner, RPF, West Central Railway, Mr. Rajiv Yadav, and under the supervision of Prashant Yadav, Senior Divisional Security Commissioner, RPF Bhopal, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Bhopal Division is giving utmost priority to women’s safety. The RPF is committed not only to security but also to providing appropriate assistance to female passengers.

The “Meri Saheli” team of RPF in Bhopal Division is also active, ensuring the safety of women traveling alone by contacting them during their journey. In the year 2024, up until July, this team provided security and necessary assistance to a total of 8,820 women traveling alone.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria stated that to further strengthen the safety of female passengers and to enhance their trust in the Railway Protection Force, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, RPF constables/head constables in the Bhopal Division are ensuring the safety and secure travel of female passengers by having them tie rakhi to the RPF personnel.
