CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Dedicated loco pilots of Indian Railways are the backbone of railway operations, playing a vital role in safely, timely, and efficiently transporting passengers and goods across the country. To make their working environment more convenient, safe, and well-equipped, the railway administration has undertaken numerous initiatives.

On Friday, the Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) office organized a safety seminar conducted by the Safety and TRO (Technical Railway Operations) departments to prevent incidents such as “Signal Passing at Danger” on Indian Railways. A continuous safety campaign is also being conducted within the division. Over 35 running staff members attended this seminar.

During the seminar, detailed discussions were held on previous Signal Passing at Danger incidents in the Bhopal Division and their causes, including anticipating signals, braking techniques, signal call-outs, taking full rest, and adhering 100% to prescribed speeds. Additionally, the DRM inquired about the challenges faced by the running staff.

Senior DCM Saurabh Kataria stated that the Bhopal Railway Division is continuously striving to ensure that passenger and freight trains reach their destinations safely, on time, and efficiently, and positive measures are being taken wherever possible to ensure safety. The seminar was attended by Divisional Railway Manager Pankaj Tyagi, Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer (TRO), Senior Divisional Safety Officer, Assistant Divisional Electrical Engineer, and other officials.
