CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : On September 5, 2025, Bollywood celebrities Saira Banu, Karisma Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan attended the Ganpati darshan at Maharashtra Minister Ashish Shelar’s residence in Mumbai. The event was part of the ongoing Ganeshotsav celebrations, which commenced on August 27 and are set to conclude on September 6 with the Ganesh Visarjan ceremony.
Saira Banu, dressed in a red and white suit, was seen offering flowers to Lord Ganesha and posing for photographs with Ashish Shelar. Karisma Kapoor, in a maroon suit, also offered flowers and engaged in a brief conversation with Shelar before taking pictures. Fardeen Khan, wearing a blue shirt and black denims, prayed with folded hands and bowed his head during the prayers.
Other notable personalities present included filmmaker Rohit Shetty, actress Isha Koppikar in a cream saree, and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, who was spotted in a printed maroon shirt and black pants.
The Ganeshotsav festival is celebrated with decorated homes and pandals, prayers, music, and vibrant processions, marking the worship of Lord Ganesha as the god of new beginnings and remover of obstacles.
