CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that in Indian culture, “there is no religion greater than serving others,” and the Sambal Yojana embodies this very idea. On Tuesday, from the Mantralaya, he transferred ₹175 crore directly into the bank accounts of 7,953 beneficiaries of the Sambal Yojana with a single click. On this occasion, Panchayat & Rural Development and Labour Minister Prahlad Patel was also present. All districts were virtually connected to the event.
The Chief Minister informed that so far, more than 1.77 crore workers have been registered under the Sambal Yojana in the state, and this number is continuously increasing. Since the launch of the scheme in 2018, over 7.6 lakh cases have been covered, with more than ₹7,000 crore disbursed to workers. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has seen poverty up close and therefore deeply understands the struggles and needs of the poor. Continuing this vision, the state government has approved the “Shripahal” scheme to support workers in health, education, and employment. Its objective is to improve the living standards of labor families and make them self-reliant.

Dr. Yadav further informed that from March 2024, gig and platform workers—such as delivery personnel and service providers—have also been included in the Sambal Yojana. Along with them, traditional labor classes like stone breakers, brickmakers, papad and pickle makers, domestic workers, and tendu leaf collectors are also benefiting from this scheme.
Under the scheme, assistance of ₹2 lakh is provided in case of permanent disability, ₹1 lakh for partial disability, ₹4 lakh in case of accidental death, and ₹2 lakh in case of natural death. Additionally, ₹5,000 is given as funeral assistance, and free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh is available under the Ayushman Bharat Niramay Yojana.
Minister Prahlad Patel said that this is the fifth time that funds have been disbursed to workers with a single click. The department’s goal is to ensure that in cases of accidents or death, affected families receive assistance at the earliest.
