School magazines hold great significance. They not only provide students with initial knowledge and opportunities for creative expression but also preserve invaluable memories of school activities. These views were expressed by literary members of Hindi Family, Indore during the launch of the 18th edition of the school magazine ‘Sankalp’ at PM Government Higher Secondary School, Ghatabilloud.
The event was presided over by Principal Devesh Singh Bhadauriya, who also shared personal recollections. The magazine’s editor, literary scholar and lecturer Ragini Swarnkar Sharma, introduced the school’s activities along with the guests and conducted the program.
Guest Saraswat Hari Ram Bajpai highlighted the 150th anniversary of ‘Vande Mataram’ and spoke about embracing one’s language and culture. Prabhu Trivedi emphasized the importance of family and environment through traditional couplets (dohas). Santosh Mohanti conveyed a message of harmony by presenting a melodious song. Pradeep Naveen recited an original composition related to the event in his familiar style, earning applause from the audience.
The guests were welcomed by the student council president Ankit Rathore and other office bearers with ceremonial scarves and flower bouquets made by students. On this occasion, the magazine ‘Atma Shakti’, edited by the science students, was also launched by the guests.
Female students performed Saraswati Vandana and tribal cultural dances, delighting everyone present. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students and teachers, including Jyoti Chauhan, Reena Gupta, Akanksha Malviya, Megha Vyas, Bhuvaneshwari Dabar, Samad Mansuri, Sarvesh Tavre, Manak Chauhan, and Kapil Khariwal, among others.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Vinod Pandey.
