CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : Sant Hirdaram Girls’ College successfully concluded the grand Model United Nations Version 2.0, marking a memorable chapter of inspiration, collaboration, and excellence. The two-day event showcased the unwavering commitment of young leaders who engaged in serious debates and meaningful dialogue on pressing global issues.
The conference hosted nearly 350 delegates from prestigious schools and colleges across the state. Executive members from different parts of the country also enriched the event with their guidance and experience. It became an effective platform for students to discuss global issues, engage in dialogue, and demonstrate their diplomatic skills.
Beyond rhetoric, delegates addressed crucial national economic concerns, particularly the growing tax burden on India’s middle class, reflecting a deep sensitivity to the nation’s challenges. Draft legislations were created, analyzed, and debated with such precision that it resembled the working style of seasoned parliamentarians.
Women’s rights and empowerment on the global stage were also discussed. Delegates highlighted issues like gender violence, unequal access to education, and the urgent need for legal reforms. The solutions presented were not only shared but also critically debated, showcasing the seriousness with which participants approached global challenges.

During the closing ceremony of Model United Nations 2.0, Principal Dalima Parwani applauded the confidence, clarity of vision, and commitment of the participants toward global issues. She emphasized that such platforms play a vital role in developing leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills. Dr. Parwani urged students to carry forward the spirit of diplomacy and become conscious, responsible changemakers.
Organizing partner Manas Dolani expressed gratitude to the college for providing this platform and stated that the institution’s continued support was the foundation of the event’s success. He added that the opportunity for students to present ideas on a global stage contributes significantly to their personality development. The success of the event, he said, belonged to the delegates, executive board members, and the entire organizing team.
The second edition of MUN was also praised for its eco-conscious approach, with eco-friendly delegate kits and sustainable practices adopted throughout the event.
At the closing ceremony at Sant Hirdaram Girls’ College, Bhopal, participants were recognized with awards such as Best Delegate, High Commendation, and Special Mention across all committees. The hall resonated with applause, celebrating two days of intense debates, collaboration, and individual growth.
The success of the event was credited to the organizing committee members Dr. Meenu Tahilyani, Shazia Khan, Ms. Manju Devnani, Geeta Hemnani, and Geetanshi Buttan, whose excellent coordination ensured the program’s smooth and impactful execution.
