CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: NCC cadets of Sant Hirdaram Girls’ College, Bhopal enthusiastically participated in a tree plantation drive under the initiative “A Tree for Mother.”
This program was part of a larger environmental campaign launched by the 1 MP Naval Unit NCC, Bhopal, with active participation from college cadets, faculty members, and NCC officers, all showing deep commitment to the cause.
On this occasion, Principal Dalima Parwani addressed the cadets and highlighted the significance of tree plantation and the profound connection between human life and trees. She emphasized that the responsibility doesn’t end with planting saplings — it is equally important to nurture, protect, and encourage continuous afforestation.
She urged cadets to embrace environmental responsibility with seriousness and long-term dedication.

Meenu Tahliyani, Dean of the Computer Science Department, was also present and encouraged the cadets to wholeheartedly engage with the campaign. She stated that such efforts will soon bring about a transformative change in both the younger generation and the environment.
“Reconnecting with nature is essential for our very existence and well-being,” she remarked.
The program stood as an exemplary symbol of the youth’s commitment to a greener future and reaffirmed the college’s active role in environmental conservation and national service.
NCC Officer Shanti Sharma congratulated the cadets for their enthusiastic involvement and added that such initiatives not only promote social and environmental awareness but also instill life values such as sustainability and compassion.
