CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Free Health Camp Organized by Sant Hirdaram College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences

Sant Hirdaram College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, in collaboration with the National Institute of Naturopathy, Pune, under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, organized a free health screening camp at the gymnasium of Sant Hirdaram Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Sant Hirdaram Nagar. The camp focused on providing health check-ups for elderly women benefiting from various initiatives run by Jeev Seva Sansthan while also spreading awareness about yoga and naturopathy.

The camp aimed to highlight proper elderly care through naturopathy and was completely free of cost. Both men and women participated in the event with great enthusiasm.

Health Check-ups and Expert Consultations

Approximately 150 individuals underwent health screenings, including blood pressure checks. Specialist doctors provided consultations on leading a healthy lifestyle, along with guidance on yoga practices and naturopathic treatments for disease prevention and management. Additionally, all participants who underwent check-ups or consultations were offered nutritious refreshments to promote well-being.

A Learning Opportunity for Medical Students

Speaking about the initiative, Principal Ankesh Singh stated that such health camps not only serve as a symbol of social service but also provide valuable learning experiences for students pursuing MD and BNYS programs. He emphasized that the college will continue to organize similar health camps for elderly individuals, women, and children to promote a drug-free and disease-free lifestyle.

College Director Hero Gyanchandani congratulated the Principal, faculty, and students for the successful execution of this large-scale health camp, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to community service and holistic healthcare.
