CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: An essay writing competition on “The Simplicity and Greatness of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Cell and Institution Innovation Council Cell of Sant Hirdaram Girls College, Bhopal. The competition was held to pay tribute to India’s former President, eminent scientist, and visionary leader, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.

The objective of the competition was to encourage students to express their thoughts on Dr. Kalam’s inspiring life, values, and contributions to the nation through writing. Participants were invited to submit essays of 400–500 words, which could be presented both online and offline. Around 25 students enthusiastically took part in the competition.

The essays were evaluated by Prof. Geetanshi Button from the English Department, who assessed the entries based on content, creativity, originality, and expression. Priyanka Babani, a third-year BBA student, secured the first position; Zainab Hussain from M.Sc. Food and Nutrition secured the second position; and Rashpreet Kaur Arora, a first-year BCA student, won the third position.

Dr. Dalima Parwani, Principal of the college, congratulated the winners and all participants, appreciating their excellent efforts. She stated that Dr. Kalam’s life will continue to inspire youth towards humility, honesty, and excellence. Dr. Parwani also honored the winners and praised the organizing team for their creative and intellectual contributions.
