CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A grand and dignified programme dedicated to the guru-shishya tradition, education, values and life principles was organised at Sant Hirdaram Group of Institutions, Bhopal, on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. The aim of the programme was to express respect and gratitude towards teachers and to inspire students to adopt discipline, self-control and positive life values.
The programme was attended by Revered Siddh Bhauji, President, Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society and Jeev Sewa Sansthan; Hero Gyanchandani, Vice-President, SHKES; Ghanshyam Bulchandani, Secretary, Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society; Mahesh Dayaramani, Secretary, Jeev Sewa Sansthan; Dr. Dalima Parwani, Principal, Sant Hirdaram Girls College; Dr. Ashish Thakur, Director, Sant Hirdaram Institute of Management and Yogic Sciences; Dr. Ankesh Singh, Principal, Sant Hirdaram College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences; chief guest Prof. Samar Bahadur Singh, Registrar, Barkatullah University; and special guest Prof. Vivek Sharma, Dean and HOD, Management, Barkatullah University, along with office-bearers of various institutions and dignitaries.
The programme began with impactful and emotional speeches by students of Sant Hirdaram Girls College, Sant Hirdaram Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences and Sant Hirdaram Institute of Management, in which they expressed their gratitude and respect for their teachers.
In his inspiring address, Revered Shri Siddh Bhauji said self-discipline is extremely essential for achieving success in life. He encouraged the students to adopt a disciplined lifestyle, self-restraint and positive thinking. He said education is not merely a means of acquiring knowledge, but also the foundation for bringing noble life values into one’s conduct.
On the occasion, Prof. Samar Bahadur Singh, Registrar, Barkatullah University, Bhopal, addressed the students and inspired them to resolve to internalise the feeling of gratitude in their lives. He said gratitude for the opportunities, guidance and support received in life enriches a person’s personality and makes them sensitive and humble. Vivek Sharma, Dean and HOD, Management, Barkatullah University, Bhopal, in his address, laid special emphasis on the need for restraint of the mind, speech and heart. He said positivity in thoughts, restraint and sweetness in speech, and sensitivity in the heart make a person’s personality superior. He encouraged the students towards self-control and a balanced life.
Dr. Dalima Parwani, Principal, Sant Hirdaram Girls College, underlined the importance of teachers and said teachers do not only provide students with subject knowledge, but also guide them in life values, संस्कार and the right outlook on life. She said teachers play an important role in shaping the personality and future of students. She called upon the students to make respect and gratitude towards teachers an integral part of their lives. Principal Dr. Ankesh Singh, in his address, said discipline and self-confidence are the steps to success. He inspired students to keep moving forward in life with discipline, positive thinking and self-confidence. Principal Dr. Ashish Thakur, meanwhile, highlighted the warm and beautiful relationship between teachers and students and said a teacher is not only someone who imparts knowledge, but also a source of inspiration who plays an important role in shaping students’ personalities and guiding their lives.
During the programme, students also presented attractive cultural performances. The event, organised in honour of teachers, reflected a beautiful blend of the dignity of guru-shishya relations, Indian culture and life values. The programme inspired students to move forward in life with discipline, restraint, gratitude and positive thinking. All faculty members, office staff and a large number of students of the college were present. The programme concluded with a feeling of respect and gratitude towards teachers.
