CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The launch ceremony and book discussion of the latest story collection “Gareebnawaz” by senior poet–storyteller, Director of Vishwarang, and Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, Shri Santosh Chaubey, will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 4:00 PM at the Sahitya Akademi Auditorium, Delhi. The event is being organized jointly under the auspices of Vanmali Srijan Peeth, Delhi, and Rajkamal Prakashan Group, Delhi.
It is noteworthy that prior to this, six story collections by Shri Santosh Chaubey—“Halkey Rang Ki Kameez”, “Restaurant Mein Dopahar”, “Nau Binduon Ka Khel”, “Beech Prem Mein Gandhi”, “Magar Shakespeare Ko Yaad Rakhna” and “Pratinidhi Kahaniyan”—have been published and well received.
The launch ceremony of “Gareebnawaz” will be held in the gracious presence of renowned storyteller Mamta Kalia, with senior writer Janaki Prasad Sharma presiding. Shri Santosh Chaubey will present a story reading from his latest collection. The welcome address will be delivered by senior poet and President of Vanmali Srijan Peeth, Delhi, Leeladhar Mandloi.
Senior critics and editors Akhilesh, Vinod Tiwari, Alpana Mishra, and Ashutosh will share their views on the collection. The program will be conducted by young writer Pranjal Dhar, while Shri Ashok Maheshwari of Rajkamal Prakashan Group will deliver the vote of thanks.
A theatrical performance of two stories by Santosh Chaubey—“Unke Hisse Ka Prem” and “Gareebnawaz”—will be staged on September 5, 2025, at 6:30 PM at Sammukh Auditorium, National School of Drama, New Delhi. This performance, under the aegis of Vanmali Srijan Peeth, Delhi, will be presented by the “Sambhav” Art Group, Delhi, and directed by eminent theatre director Devendra Raj Ankur.
