CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Senior Poet-Writer Santosh Choubey Honored with First International Maxmuller Award 2025
Senior poet and writer, Santosh Choubey, Director of Vishw Rang and Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, has been honored with the First International Maxmuller Award 2025 by Sajha Sansar, Netherlands. This prestigious award recognizes his invaluable contributions to the global promotion of Hindi language, literature, culture, and arts.
The international selection committee included eminent literary figures from Italy, the USA, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, and India, including Ludovica Sambarro, Marian Ridders, Meta Strefeland, Rene Hof, and Petra Furran. Other notable members involved in the selection process were Rama Takshak, Harshita Vajpeyi, Manish Pandey, Rajendra Sharma, Shivangi Shukla, Vinita Tiwari, and Liladhar Mandloi.
The award was presented on the stage of the Rath Rang Mahotsav held in Jat Behror village, Rajasthan, by Rama Takshak, President of the Sajha Sansar Foundation, and Balveer Singh Chhillar, Rath Region President. The event also saw the special presence of Dr. Vinita Choubey and senior poet Liladhar Mandloi.
Choubey has gained international recognition for his creative vision and cultural innovations. In 2019, he initiated the Vishw Rang Mahotsav from Bhopal, which today represents Hindi and Indian culture in over 65 countries. Recently, grand Vishw Rang events in Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Mumbai, and Bhopal have given new direction to the global promotion of Hindi.
Earlier, he has been honored with the Vishwa Hindi Shikhar Award (Singapore), Bharat Gaurav Award (France), Vatayan UK International Award (London), and Lifetime Achievement Award (USA). For his excellence in poetry, criticism, translation, and novels, he has received prestigious accolades including the Dushyant Kumar Award, Spandan Criticism Award, Rashtrbhasha Prachar Samiti Award, Shailesh Matiyani Award, and Valley of Words Award.
On the occasion of the First Maxmuller International Award 2025, several organizations, including Vishw Rang Foundation, Tagore International Hindi Centre, Pravasi Sahitya Kendra, CV Raman University, Scope Global Skills University, ISECT University, and various cultural institutions, extended their congratulations to Santosh Choubey.
